Industry Overview
SMC/BMC systems combine UPR resin with reinforcement, fillers, a thickening system, release agents, and other additives before compression moulding. Resin selection should be based on the compound formulation, mixing method, maturation time, mould temperature and pressure, moulding cycle, and the mechanical requirements of the finished part.
