Applications & material selection
Plan the material request for an FRP tank
The tank's contents, operating conditions and construction determine what SIHE needs to review. Start with a structured brief for the equipment, rather than a generic resin name.

An FRP tank request should describe what the equipment contains, how it is made and the role of each laminate or lining being evaluated. Tank geometry alone cannot establish resin suitability.
For general FRP fabrication, SIHE can review the General-Purpose FRP Resin Series against the stated process and finished-part requirements. Where a chemical medium or demanding exposure is involved, the existing Corrosion-resistant FRP solution provides the more specific service-condition review route for the Vinyl Ester Resin Series.
Choose a material-review direction
01
General FRP fabrication review
Describe the medium, fabrication process and construction. Review the general FRP family against the full operating requirements.
Use this direction in my brief02
Chemical or corrosion-service review
Provide medium composition, concentration, temperature and exposure mode. Continue with corrosion-resistant FRP guidance for the compatibility review.
Use this direction in my briefBring the process into the decision
Describe the equipment dimensions, laminate role and manufacturing method, including whether the request concerns a barrier, structural laminate or repair.
List normal and maximum operating conditions separately. Include cleaning media and any intermittent exposure relevant to the request.
Agree on the design information, representative compatibility evaluation and production checks needed before selecting a delivery grade. Resin selection does not replace equipment engineering.
Prepare your request
Make the next conversation specific
- Equipment type, dimensions and the scope of the new build or repair
- Stored or processed medium, composition and concentration
- Normal/maximum temperature and continuous/intermittent exposure
- Fabrication process, reinforcement and laminate or lining role
- Design/acceptance requirements, current material and observed issue
- Approximate quantity, delivery country and required TDS/SDS language
Your application brief
Add what you know. Review or copy your summary, then continue to the RFQ to confirm the complete request.
Technical review
This page does not establish a chemical-resistance rating, pressure rating, potable-water approval, food-contact approval or service life. Confirm the full operating and design conditions with the responsible technical team.
Before you send a request
Can I request a sample?
Yes. Tell SIHE the material direction and what you want to evaluate. Sample specification, availability, cost and freight are confirmed for your request.
Request a sampleWhich technical documents should I request?
Request the current TDS for the selected resin family or grade. The applicable SDS depends on the selected product and market of use.
Request current technical documentsWhat happens after I submit the RFQ?
The RFQ saves your complete request and provides an acknowledgement. A SIHE representative then reviews the material requirements and confirms the next steps.
Continue with related guidance
For chemical compatibility and corrosion-barrier requirements, continue with the Corrosion-resistant FRP solution. Include equipment geometry and fabrication scope in the tank brief.
