Product Introduction
SIHE Composite Pigment Paste is a concentrated colour paste matched to an approved colour reference for validated compatible UPR, gelcoat, and composite systems. Colour, carrier, viscosity, and dosage are defined for the actual resin system and production conditions; one universal dosage does not apply to every colour.
Product scope and colour-matching objective
- Validated compatible UPR and gelcoat systems
- FRP surfaces and decorative composite parts after dispersion and cure trials
- Sanitary ware and artificial-stone products after colour approval on a representative sample
- Composite applications requiring customer-sample colour matching
Colour-development benefits
- Colour matching against a physical reference or customer-approved panel
- Concentrated paste form for dispersion into a validated compatible resin system
- Approval based on a sample representative of the production material and thickness
- Carrier, colour reference, trial dosage, and packaging are confirmed for each requirement
Sample-based colour approval workflow
- Provide a physical sample, approved panel, or colour code as the reference; screen images and photos are for initial direction only
- Confirm the base resin or gelcoat, background colour, gloss, opacity or translucency, part thickness, and service conditions
- Prepare a trial using the intended base resin, filler, reinforcement, thickness, and cure schedule
- Obtain customer approval on a representative panel before confirming the production colour
- Record the colour reference, resin system, acceptance method, trial dosage, and packaging in the quotation or technical confirmation
- Repeat testing and approval when the base resin, filler, thickness, surface, or cure process changes
Carrier and compatibility confirmation
- The intended direction is compatible UPR, gelcoat, and composite systems; validation must use the actual resin grade
- Do not assume compatibility with vinyl ester, epoxy, acrylic, waterborne, or other carrier systems without separate confirmation
- Evaluate dispersion, viscosity or flow change, gel and cure behaviour, surface, gloss, colour, and relevant end-use requirements
- Keep trial conditions constant when comparing colour and record the resin, filler, reinforcement, thickness, temperature, and cure system
- Follow the applicable technical documentation and current SDS for the base resin, pigment paste, and cure system throughout testing
Dosage-confirmation logic
- There is no universal addition ratio for every colour, resin, and part thickness
- Determine dosage with a weighed trial series using the same base-resin batch and controlled test conditions
- Add in stages, disperse uniformly, and record pigment-paste mass relative to the base system
- Approve the trial dosage that meets colour, opacity or translucency, surface, and processing requirements
- Do not change accelerator or initiator ratios solely to compensate for pigment paste without technical approval
- Reconfirm dosage when the colour, base resin, filler, reinforcement, thickness, or cure conditions change
Trial process and control points
- Colour matching to an approved reference
- Compatibility and dispersion trials in the intended production resin
- Representative panel preparation and approval before mass production
- Mass-based dosage and trial-condition recording
Control points: Control the colour and master-reference identity, base-resin grade, filler or reinforcement loading, material temperature, approved mixing sequence, dispersion, mass-based dosage, sample thickness, cure schedule, gloss, surface, and colour-viewing conditions. Do not use a screen image as the final acceptance standard.
Formulation-specific technical data
This product is matched to an approved sample and formulation. Carrier, viscosity, solids, dosage, colour tolerance, storage, and shelf life vary with the colour and resin system; because no universal set of values applies, these items are confirmed in formulation-specific technical documentation after the sample and resin system are approved.
Required formulation-specific technical confirmation
- Colour code and approved colour-reference identity
- Carrier and confirmed compatible resin-system scope
- Appearance, viscosity, and solids with applicable test methods
- Trial-dosage window for the defined resin system, thickness, and opacity target
- Trial formulation, dispersion method, cure system, and test conditions
- Colour, gloss, surface, and acceptance-tolerance evaluation method
- Packaging, net weight, storage, shelf life, and applicable SDS
The qualitative information on this page supports initial screening and trial design. It is not a release specification or a fixed use ratio. Formulation-specific data are confirmed in technical documentation for the approved colour, carrier, and resin system; a current dated TDS for the confirmed formulation and supply is provided during inquiry or order processing.
Packaging and required request information
Plastic pail. Net weight, colour code, approved reference, carrier, shipment configuration, storage, and shelf life are confirmed in the quotation or approved formulation-specific technical confirmation; a current dated TDS is supplied during inquiry or order processing.
